Bao never spoke a word in his life, but his heart beat louder than most. As the blacksmith’s son, he watched blades forged, warriors trained, and bells rung to signal danger. Though mocked for his silence, Bao studied the art of motion and impact—how to strike without voice, how to listen without ears.
